Delta Map for traffic flows

Description

The goal of this map is to compare changes (increase or decrease) in traffic volume between two moments in time by allowing experts selecting two different times using measured data from the past or predicted data calculated by the traffic model.

The aim is namely to compare:

  • two moments in the past based on historical sensor data;
  • two simulated traffic models based on calculated forecasts;
  • historical sensor based data with the simulated forecast models.

The visualisation is based on a HSLayers Line Map. The color of the line (road segment)  represents an increase (orange to red color range) or a decrease (blue color range) in traffic volume between two selected moments for each road segment.
